Kalpeshwar Mahadev: The Eternal Panch Kedar Shrine
Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,200 meters, Kalpeshwar is the fifth shrine of the sacred Panch Kedar. Legend says that after the Kurukshetra war, Lord Shiva took the form of a bull to avoid the Pandavas. When he dived into the earth, his matted locks (Jata) appeared here at Kalpeshwar. Because of its accessible altitude, it is the only Panch Kedar temple that remains open to pilgrims throughout the year.
Dhyan Badri: The Meditative Sanctuary
Located in the quiet village of Helang/Devgram within Urgam Valley, Dhyan Badri is one of the Sapta Badri temples. The idol of Lord Vishnu here is sculpted in a deep meditative posture (Dhyana Mudra). It is believed that King Muchukunda performed intense penance here, making it a powerful place for quiet reflection and prayer.
